Through smart systems that integrate voice control, adaptive lighting, automated doors, and environmental controls, OTs can enable clients with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities to engage more independently in daily life.

 

These technologies extend the scope of traditional assistive devices, supporting occupational performance, safety, and participation, and transforming the home into a space that adapts to the person, not the other way around.

 

This website was created in response to a growing need to better understand the role of occupational therapists in prescribing High-End Home Automation (HeHA).
